The idea was to design an innovative interior design of a new police car. What you see on this page is a 1:4 model of the interior design.

A project by Till Haldimann, Mathias Fehr and Martin Ruegg.

A project in cooperation with

With the support of the Basel Police, we deepened our knowledge of the everyday use of a police car. The main problem is, how to handle and interrogate a criminal in the car.

On the picture above, you see the situation where the 3rd officer is able to interview the bandit. He has a touch-screen in front of him, where he can type in and look up the needed information.

Normal sitting position without a criminal:

The officer has enormous space for his legs and an ergonomic view on the touch-screen.

Co-drivers seat: It is equipped for all activities except driving. All devices are clearly separated for its use and functionality. Like this, the driver and co-driver can both easily reach their separated devices.

Drivers seat: A simple interface with basic information and a navigation system.

The well organized trunk of COBRA 12: No more hiding of guns behind the back-seat, or looking for the bulletproof-vest, which they forgot to pack before. Everything has it place and is accessible from the huge automatic door on the side of the car.
